Men's Detoxification at Recovery on Redwood

Eligibility

We welcome males aged 18 years old and up who have recently used drugs or alcohol and are in need of detoxification services.

About
VOA Utah's Men's Detoxification Center is a social model residential center for men 18 years and older seeking detox & withdrawal management services. Volunteers of America, Utah's Men's Detoxification Center is a non-medical and client-centered detox program in a safe and trauma-informed environment where clients can manage their intoxication and withdrawal symptoms to prepare them for long term recovery.

Clients are able to stay for up to 14 days. They receive three meals a day, case management services, access to medication-assisted treatment, Seeking Safety groups, peer support, and 12-Step meetings. Qualifying clients who are interested in treatment for substance use disorders will be able to be screened and/or assessed into treatment.

Payment Information
Clients who qualify may stay at our facility up to 14 days free of charge. Please call the facility to check bed availability and whether you qualify. We also assist in applying for Medicaid. Non-qualifying clients are charged a low-cost fee.

Volunteer at Men's Detox

Prepare and serve a meal to residents going through our detox and recovery program.

+ Must be at least 18.
+ Must be able to stand for up to two hours
+ssist the kitchen team with task assignments such as meal preparation, meal service line, clean-up, and organization tasks.
+Please refrain from wearing substance or alcohol-related clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Female adults, 18 years or older, who have taken drugs or alcohol recently and are in need of detoxification services can access treatment at our facility. If applicable, clients may have their children age 10 years old and younger stay overnight in the facility. Clients may also schedule a child visit for their children age 18 years and younger with their case worker.

‍About
The Center for Women and Children provides a safe place for women to non-medically detox from alcohol and drugs, where we connect clients with providers who can assess for medically assisted treatment. The 14-day program utilizes a trauma-informed approach and allows women to bring children 10 years old and younger with them.

During their stay, women will have the opportunity to meet with a case manager to discuss their eligibility for substance abuse treatment, as well as get connected to other needed resources. Clients receive three meals a day, access to an outdoor area, and peer support services. Women will be able to attend supportive programing activities, including recovery-focused support groups and working in our onsite garden.
