Mission: Volunteers of America, Utah provides a bridge to self-reliance and health for individuals who struggle with homelessness, addiction and mental illness in our Wasatch Front communities.
The agency has more than 150 employees and over 1,500 volunteers.
Our work touches the mind, body, heart—and ultimately the spirit—of those we serve.
Work that Matters
We are an affiliate of the national Volunteers of America program, which employes nearly 16,000 individuals nationwide. In addition to sharing a workplace, our staff members share values of teamwork, inclusion and integrity, which form the foundation of our work. We are deeply committed to creating lasting solutions for the individuals and families we serve.
Volunteers of America, Utah, offers employees opportunities to expand their knowledge through our internal Training Institute. We also support promotions from within the organization.
Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and life insurance coverage, 403b retirement plan, and paid vacation and sick leave. All employees are eligible for a 6% discount at the University of Phoenix.
Our three residential facilities operate 24/7, so there are shifts and work schedules to meet various schedule needs.
Some people can't imagine doing what we do. We can't imagine not doing it.
