Helping Utah's most vulnerable

Volunteer at the Youth Resource Center

Volunteer at the VOA's Youth Resource Center

Level 1: Sort donations, cook and serve a meal, help organize and clean the center. Volunteers must be 18 or older or supervised by someone over the age of 21. One-time opportunities available or ongoing.

Level 2 & Interns: Assist staff in answering the phone, checking mail for clients, work with clients to help meet their needs with supervision, lead a life skills group. Volunteers must be 21 or older and commit to a minimum of 6 months. All volunteers who wish to work directly with our clients must complete a Utah Department of Human Services Office of Licensing background screening, record two sets of finger prints, and pay a fee of $37 to cover the processing prior to direct client work.

Our level system is designed to ensure each volunteer is comfortable in their role. As you gain experience you will meet with the onsite coordinator to discuss additional volunteer responsibilities.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate court-ordered volunteer hours.

Volunteers are critical in helping provide services to homeless youth.
