VOA’s Medicaid-Funded Outpatient Program for mental health is designed for adults who are looking for structure and support in their lives beyond a single weekly therapy session.
Our licensed therapists have the expertise and experience to treat depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, sociality and trauma. VOA offers two levels of treatment: our Intensive Outpatient Treatment provides nine hours of combined group and individual therapy per week. And, the Standard Outpatient Treatment program provides two to six hours of combined individual and group therapy per week.
Our program focuses on learning mindfulness to improve daily living activities and general social skills, to increase confidence with making choices and decisions, and to handle distress and crisis situations safely and calmly. We use meditation, art, and group process to accomplish individual goals. We also work closely with our on-site medication provider to ensue that our clients have every opportunity to succeed in improving their lives as they choose.
We offer sessions five days a week and clients can attend all five sessions or a few sessions per week depending on client need and therapist recommendation.
