Join us in giving homeless youth the opportunity to contribute to our community, as they stabilize their lives and work toward self-sufficiency. Maud’s Café is an innovative social enterprise that will offer an 8-12 week employment training program for homeless youth ages 18-24. This newly built café and coffee shop will give youth at the Volunteers of America, Utah Homeless Youth Resource Center and Young Men’s & Women’s Transition Homes the opportunity to become skilled, reliable employees. Patrons of Maud’s will be supporting the Wasatch Front economy by purchasing quality, locally-produced goods from respected establishments in our community.
Join us to help launch this job training program! Supporters like ArtSpace, the Community Foundation of Utah/Social Investors Forum, Keller Williams, Walker Edison Furniture, and Ricky Rubio have already brought us close to our goal. You can make an impact in ending youth homelessness by contributing alongside these amazing partners to get Maud's Café up and running. When you contribute you will also receive brand new Maud's Café swag, including stickers and mugs!
Additionally, top donors will be invited to a private preview party at the Café, to see the location and get a chance to try out the delicious coffee and tasty treats that will be for sale.
When donating, please ensure that your mailing address is accurate - this is where we will be mailing any stickers or free coffee vouchers you receive. The mugs will be available at the Café for pick up - we will contact you when they are available.
If you have any questions, please contact Tyrell Aagard at email@example.com.
Our generous community sponsors have already helped us raise $135,000, and now we just need a bit more to cross our finish line and open the Café!
Maud's Café will host our Grand Opening on January 18, 2018. Hope to see you there!
