Lace up your shoes and run in the annual Run for Home, a 5K and 10K run to support the Homeless Youth Legal Clinic. The clinic is composed of local lawyers who come together to help serve clients at the Youth Resource Center. This group started this annual tradition in 2015 to support the funds needed to operate the clinic. This family friendly event includes course support, t-shirts, finish medals, raffles and a breakfast block party!
You can help Utah's most vulnerable by organizing a fundraising event of your own.
Organizing a fundraising event of your own creates an opportunity to raise awareness about youth homelessness and other important issues in our area. Every donation we receive is significant, and no fundraising event is too small. Collectively, we are able to change the lives of thousands each year.
Please see below for examples of successful community sponsored events. If you are interested in hosting your own community sponsored fundraising event, please click here to let us know about it. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact Tyrell Aagard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Run for Home
Spend a day on the green in this annual golf tournament started by four friends who wanted to make a difference. This tournament supports Volunteers of America, Utah programs, including the Detox Center, the Youth Resource Center, and others. After a morning of a casual foursome golf tournament, participants reunite for an afternoon of catered lunch, live music, prizes, and fun.
Taking it to the Streets
Hop on your hog and get ready for a community ride throughout the city. An annual fundraiser started by Addictive Behavior Motor Works to help raise awareness and contributions for the Youth Resource Center. Non-riders are encouraged and invited to attend the opening of the ride, and stay for the community concert and BBQ after. This ride is also a tribute to honor fallen officer Douglas Barney of the Unified Police Department.
