Adult Treatment Services

Cornerstone Counseling Center offers outpatient adult substance abuse treatment services provided by a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Outpatient treatment gives clients the opportunity to receive treatment services and remain at home, at work, and active in the community. We provide substance abuse groups, individual counseling, couples and family sessions. In addition, as a dual-diagnosis enhanced provider, we deliver integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment services. Clients receive medication evaluation and medication management services onsite.

Three levels of treatment are available— Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOT) and Standard Outpatient Treatment (SOT). Day treatment services are available for those individuals needing 20 hours or more of treatment a week. These services are often viewed as an alternative for residential treatment and are available to individuals in need of intensive treatment who have a supportive, recovery environment outside of the treatment setting.

We offer three tracks of IOT including a women’s specific track. In IOT, clients in early recovery attend group four days per week. Women’s IOT serves both mothers and children who have suffered the impact of substance abuse. Groups focus on relapse prevention, parenting skills, self-esteem and healthy relationships. Mother and child interaction groups and children’s groups target healthy parent-child attachment and positive peer interactions. Onsite day care is available free of charge while mothers are in treatment.

SOT Groups are available for clients who successfully complete IOT or need less intensity of care. Clients attend one or two groups per week, and specialized groups include: Women’s Recovery Group, Men’s and Women’s Skills Groups, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Group, Mother & Baby Group and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention Group.
