  • Press Conference to Announce New Transitional Living for Homeless Youth
    On December 15th Volunteers of America, Utah announced the purchase of a home in Salt Lake City to provide transitional housing for 14 homeless young men. This new home will meet a critical need in the community, helping to end the cycle of youth homelessness for young men.
  • 25 Years of Serving Those in Greatest Need in Utah
    In 2011, we are marking 25 years of service in Utah. In 1986 we opened our adult detoxification facility and since then we have served tens of thousands of people who need to detox from drugs or alcohol. The people we serve are homeless or living in poverty. Often they have limited choices on where they can go for treatment.
  • Helping Homeless Women and Their Children
    Last year the Center for Women and Children helped more than 425 women and 50 children. Homeless women can come to Volunteers of America, Utah to live while they detoxify from drugs and/or alcohol. This is the first step toward a clean and sober life.
